Tendai MWARI,

The birth of the Alkebu-Lan Revivalist Movement in January 1987 was signalled by the opening of our "Fellowship" -  Every first Sunday of the month.

The aim of fellowship was re-institutionalise Afrikan-Spirituality and Afrikan Centred modes of worship and ritual among the Afrika Community UK, as well as to provide a focal point for culturally appropriate community development and Nation Building.

In 1993, fellowship became an internal programme of the Alkebu-Lan Revivalist Movement - But all thats about to change. As of Sunday 2nd October 2016, Fellowship will be open to the Afrikan Community as SHUMIRA!

SHUMIRA is a word from the Shona Language (mainly spoken in Zimbabwe) meaning "Worship". Shumira is the process through which we ritualise our harmony with MWARI Nyakusika (The Creator, Universal Life Force, All in All), Mudzimu Mukuru (Our Great Ancestors), and ZWIBATO (The Elements), the forces of Mother Nature.

We invite you to join us as we explore Afrikan Spirituality in practice and build a foundation for Afrikan Culture as it informs our political, economic & social development.

Freedom begins with the freeing of the mind & soul...

Tendai MWARI!
